Dear Rodelinde, I've been meaning to write to you for a while, but somehow never found the time. I won't be renewing my membership, because I met someone right out of the gate last year. R lives in Pittsburgh and I'm in Philadelphia, so there are some logistical problems to deal with, but we clicked right away. He's a great guy and we would never have met if not for Concerned Singles. I can't thank you enough for being there for us.

One of the most interesting and exciting discoveries I've made in reviewing our happy ending stories is that significantly more than half of those relationships were forged between people who were not living in the same state - sometimes not even the same country! - when they began corresponding. Clearly, geographical distances are much more easily bridged than philosophical ones.
This message I recently received is a perfect case in point:
One of us had been looking for years (several times as a member of Concerned Singles) and had pretty much given up; the other had been looking for one week. We found each other across 2000 miles but, even living in the same town, would probably have never met in the usual ways. Six months after our first phone call, we bridged the geographical gap permanently, and six months later, we got married. Needless to say, Concerned Singles has changed our lives forever.
